What is a Native Ad?

A native ad is a paid advertisement that matches the visual design of the content that surrounds it. Or in other words, a native ad camouflages itself with a look that is barely distinguishable from editorial content.

Examples of native ads are:

  • ads in email feeds
  • ads in social feeds
  • sponsored products in shopping results
  • sponsored content in recommended
  • content sections
  • search ads on SERPS in the app stores
