What is a Supply Side Platform?

A supply side platform is a technology that publishers use to monetize their app’s ad inventory, and it is a crucial part of real-time bidding.

App owners need to connect their app to the platform, define the ad placements, and set the requirements for acceptable ads, like the minimum price. After that, the SSP offers the inventory to ad exchanges that run RTB auctions to find matching ads.

The SSP’s counterpart is a demand side platform (DSP).
